EA SPORTS FC 27 FC 27 Licenses and Liga MX
Who is back in the database, which stadiums are new, and what Career actually uses.
Licenses are why a lot of people buy a new football game in the first place. EA SPORTS FC 27’s authenticity pitch, restated on 2 September 2026, is 21,000+ players, 800+ clubs and national teams, 140 stadiums, 35+ leagues, and 300+ global partners. This page is the practical list: what returned, what was rebuilt, and what is still unconfirmed. It is not a complete club-by-club database — squad files will still move before and after 25 September 2026.
If you only care about playing a friendly, pair this with Kick-Off and Lite. If you are starting a 15-season save, keep Career Mode open. FUT uses the same player pool with different item rules — see Ultimate Team.
Liga BBVA MX is back
On 24 July 2026, the day after the FC 27 reveal, EA and Liga BBVA MX announced a multi-year deal that returns Mexican first-division football to the series and to EA SPORTS FC Mobile. The last fully licensed appearance in this lineage was FIFA 22 in 2021. All 18 Liga MX clubs come back with real names, crests, kits, and squads.
Career Mode documentation describes the league’s Apertura and Clausura structure inside Manager Career and Player Career. That is the mode where the return matters most: you can run a Mexican club without a generic league name. Kick-Off and the licensed presentation in trailers are the other places you will see it. The trailer above is Liga BBVA MX’s own announcement, not a stadium scan tour.
What EA has not published as a launch guarantee: a full list of scanned Mexican stadiums, a rebuilt Estadio Azteca, or Liga MX Femenil. Community wishlists are loud. Treat missing venues as unconfirmed until they appear in the in-game stadium list, not as a broken promise from this wiki. Footage in later Career clips showed clubs such as América, Chivas, Tigres, Pumas, and Toluca in licensed kits — that is presentation, not a stadium checklist.
New and rebuilt stadiums (2 September)
EA’s authenticity press note added three venues and rebuilt several others:
- New: Stade Louis II (AS Monaco), Estadio Carlos Tartiere (Real Oviedo), Legia Warsaw Municipal Stadium.
- Reconstructed to current real-world layouts: Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, VfB Stuttgart’s MHPArena.
- Promoted Premier League clubs at launch: Ipswich Town’s Portman Road, Hull City’s MKM Stadium, Coventry City’s CBS Arena.
Those are the named scans. “140 stadiums” is the headline count, not 140 brand-new LIDAR jobs this year. If a favourite ground is missing on day one, check the stadium select in Kick-Off before you assume a patch is coming.
Club partnerships and returns
The same September note called out renewed or expanded European club partnerships, including Aston Villa and Liverpool, plus the licensed return of Lazio. Bundesliga (and coverage of 2. Bundesliga), the ROSHN Saudi League, and the A-League continue. Tottenham’s partner status was reported as dropped in community roundups — confirm in the shipped license list, not in a quote-tweet.
Competitions EA still sells as unique to this box in one place: UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, LALIGA EA SPORTS, plus the listed women’s leagues (Barclays WSL, Liga F Moeve, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, Arkema Première Ligue, NWSL).
How this changes each mode
- Career: Liga MX is a real calendar with Apertura/Clausura, not a fantasy league. New stadiums change home-match presentation. Dynamic OVR and the rebuilt transfer market still matter more than a crest. Start from Career Mode.
- Kick-Off / Lite: Licensed kits and the new stadiums are the whole point of a Friday night friendly. Lite is still Kick-Off only — see Kick-Off and Lite.
- Football Ultimate Team: League and nation chem, promo themes, and SBC requirements will use this pool. Gallery Sets do not need you to memorise 18 Mexican kits on day one. Use the tier list for launch-week cards, not a license spreadsheet.
- The Grounds: Street districts are Parkside, Montclair, and Zeiza. They are not Liga MX parks. Do not expect Azteca as a Grounds hub.
What we will not invent
We will not publish an 18-club table copied from a rumour thread that still includes the wrong second-division names. We will not list Mexican stadiums EA has not named. We will not claim a commentator team, a Femenil league, or a World Cup 2026 mode because a comment section asked for them.
When a squad file or a Pitch Note adds a stadium or a competition, it goes on what’s new first, then back here. Official storefronts and Pitch Notes stay in Links. If you are still choosing an edition, licenses are the same across Standard and Ultimate — you are not paying extra for Liga MX. You are paying for early access timing.
Plan a Career save around a league that is actually in the box. If that league is Liga MX, this is the page that tells you it is real. If that league is something EA has not named, wait for the database, then come back.
