EA SPORTS FC 27 FC 27 PC System Requirements

EA published FC 27 PC requirements in August 2026 and expanded them in the 2 September PC Deep Dive. The floor is familiar if you played FC 26: a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570, 8 GB dual-channel RAM, and DirectX 12 on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The ceiling is new: High and Ultra presets with Performance versus Balanced modes, and an Ultra Performance target of 120 fps gameplay (60 fps cutscenes) on high-end hardware.

This page is the long read. If you only need “will it launch,” skim the tables, then confirm your storefront in platforms. The Grounds still needs a current-gen-class machine in spirit — it is in the PC build — but a minimum spec PC is aimed at 720p Low, not a packed 100-player district at Ultra.

Minimum (720p Low, 60 fps gameplay)

• OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit, latest updates
• CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K (4C/4T) or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (6C/12T)
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 570, 4 GB VRAM
• RAM: 8 GB DDR4 dual channel (2×4 GB, not one stick)
• Storage: 100 GB (HDD allowed at minimum)
• DirectX 12, 512 kbps internet

Expect 60 fps gameplay and 30 fps cutscenes at 720p Low. Dual-channel is not a footnote; EA called it out because single-channel 8 GB will feel worse than the table implies.

Recommended (1080p Medium, 60 fps)

• CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
• GPU: GTX 1660 or RX 5600 XT, 6 GB VRAM
• RAM: 12 GB dual channel
• Storage: 100 GB SSD

This is the comfortable 1080p60 line. If you are buying a drive for FC 27, buy SSD. The PC Deep Dive still supports HDD at minimum and strongly prefers SSD everywhere else.

High and Ultra

EA added High and Ultra bands, each with Balanced and Performance:

• High Balanced — 1440p High, 60 fps, RTX 3060 / RX 6600 XT class, 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, i7-10700 / Ryzen 7 3700X, Windows 11.
• High Performance — same GPU/CPU band, 1080p Medium, 80 fps gameplay / 40 fps cutscenes.
• Ultra Balanced — 4K Ultra, 60 fps, RTX 4070 / RX 7800 XT class, 12 GB VRAM, 32 GB RAM, i9-12900K / Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
• Ultra Performance — 1440p High, 120 fps gameplay / 60 fps cutscenes, same Ultra hardware.

Enhanced Ultra Visuals sit on top of Ultra and are off by default. Turn them on only after you hold the fps target.

Software you cannot skip

Steam, EA App, and Epic all require EA online activation and the EA app in the background. Steam Friends import through EA Connect. The store page lists Denuvo Anti-Tamper and EA Javelin Anticheat (kernel-level; EA notes manual removal after uninstall). Budget the always-online check even for Kick-Off.

Launch improvements: EA says the Steam startup flow shows fewer windows and tested up to ~50% faster time-to-menu on some configs. Keyboard controls were modernised; open bindings on first boot. A VRAM indicator is in the graphics menu so you can see when Ultra is lying to you.

What this means for The Grounds

The Grounds is in the PC version. A minimum spec machine will run the match engine at 720p; a crowded social hub is heavier than Kick-Off. If The Grounds is why you are on PC, aim at Recommended or High, not Minimum. Mode details are on The Grounds. Gameplay feel is on controls.

Buying advice

• 8 GB on one DIMM: add a matching stick before you buy a GPU.
• Laptop 1050 Ti: it meets the letter of Minimum, not a pleasant FUT evening.
• 120 Hz monitor: use High/Ultra Performance presets, not 4K Balanced, if smoothness is the goal.
• Storage: 100 GB is the published number; leave headroom for squad updates.
