EA SPORTS FC 27 FC 27 Rewards System

Match Coins, Season Points, and why the weekly grind is changing.

Last updated:

Rewards System

EA has confirmed one of the biggest Ultimate Team progression changes in years: a large portion of weekly milestone rewards are being redistributed into immediate End of Match Rewards. Instead of waiting for a weekly drop to claim most of your value, you now earn a portion of your rewards after every match in select modes.

This page explains the new End of Match system, how Season Points work, and what the restructure means for your weekly routine.

End of Match Rewards explained

End of Match Rewards is FC 27’s new reward channel: Match Coins and Season Points (SP) paid immediately after a match in select modes, instead of most of the value waiting for a weekly drop. FUT already paid small match coins — what is new is the scale, and that SP now comes with them.

EA has said it expects a portion of the rewards currently tied to weekly mode rewards and Live Service objectives to flow through End of Match Rewards instead. This does not mean weekly rewards are gone — it means the value is spread across more play sessions.

Match Coins

Match Coins are earned after every match in eligible modes. They scale with match type, result, and performance. The exact formula has not been published, but EA’s stated intent is that consistent play earns a steadier income than in previous years, where you could grind all week and forget to log in for the Thursday reward drop.

Use Match Coins in the Transfer Market or hold them for moments when a Squad Building Challenge needs a specific填补. They are not FC Points — you cannot buy them with real money.

Season Points (SP)

Season Points accumulate from End of Match Rewards and from weekly milestone completions. They contribute to your Season Level progression, which unlocks rewards at specific thresholds throughout the season.

Think of SP as the fuel for your Season Pass equivalent: the more you play, the more you accumulate, and the faster you unlock cosmetic rewards, tokens, and other seasonal content.

Weekly milestones and what changed

In previous years, a significant portion of FUT rewards were locked behind weekly milestone targets — complete X matches in Champs, earn Y rewards. FC 27 redistributes some of that value into End of Match, so you no longer need to complete a full weekly grind to feel like you earned something.

Weekly milestones are not removed entirely. They still exist as a bonus layer on top of End of Match Rewards. But the feeling of “I have to finish my weekly or I missed out” should be reduced because your Tuesday night Rush session now pays out immediately.

Champions rewards and Token Store

FC 27 Champions (Weekend League) keeps its reward structure, with the Token Store remaining as a destination for event Tokens, reward items, and earning opportunities. Confirmed Champions rewards and Token Store details give FC 27 a structured progression system where you know exactly what each rank delivers.

FC 27 also introduces more direct Coin rewards alongside packs and tradeable items, rather than the untradeable filler that frustrated players in previous years.

Planning your weekly routine

The change from “all value in weekly drops” to “distributed End of Match” means:

  • You no longer need to binge on Thursday or Friday to catch a reward window.
  • A 20-minute Rush session on Tuesday pays you immediately.
  • Weekend League still delivers the biggest single reward injection, but the floor is higher for casual players.
