Ultimate Team veterans can start building their FC 27 club before the game even launches — but only if they meet one specific eligibility requirement. The Web App and Companion App let you set up your Ultimate Team, complete SBCs, and scout the market before the full game loads on 18 September.

Release dates

• Web App: 16 September 2026 — Opens first, accessible to anyone with an EA account and a platform subscription that includes FC 27.
• Companion App: 17 September 2026 — Launches one day later, available on iOS and Android.
• Full game early access: 18 September 2026 — Ultimate Edition, Ultimate Plus, and EA Play Pro.

The Web App launches before the Companion App so players can start their club setup on desktop before mobile. The Companion App then extends that access to phones and tablets.

What the Web App can do

The FC 27 Web App is the browser-based companion that lets you manage your Ultimate Team without loading the full game. In previous years, this has included:

• SBC completion — Build and submit Squad Building Challenges from your browser. FC 27’s simplified SBC system (squad score instead of chemistry) should make this faster.
• Transfer Market browsing — Scout prices and listings before launch. Note that some market features may be restricted until the full economy opens.
• Club management — View your squad, manage items, and plan your starting XI.
• Objectives tracking — Monitor launch-week objectives and seasonal goals.

What the Companion App can do

The Companion App mirrors most Web App functionality in a mobile format:

• Same SBC access and club management tools
• Same transfer market browsing (subject to the same restrictions)
• Push notifications for objectives and Live Events
• Quick-access to Campaign Hub once FC 27 launches

Transfer market restrictions

During the pre-launch window, the Transfer Market operates with limited functionality. You can browse and list items, but:

• FC Points purchases are not available through the Web or Companion App during early access.
• Market prices may not reflect live launch values until 18 September.
• Listing and selling items before full launch requires an active club tied to an eligible edition.

The restriction on FC Points through these apps means you cannot top up your account from the browser or phone — you need the full game for point purchases.

Early SBC strategy

Use the early access window to get ahead on starter SBCs:

1. Complete league-specific SBCs for leagues where you already have players in your club.
2. Auto-fill with 1-Click SBC — FC 27’s new squad score system makes this more powerful than in previous years.
3. Save rare players for Gallery Sets rather than burning them on day-one SBCs if those players fill a Set you actually need.
4. Check the Campaign Hub once it goes live for any launch-week promos that might change your SBC priorities.

The Web App is especially useful for grinding SBCs on a work computer while waiting for the full game to download at home.

Platform requirements

• Web App: Any modern browser, no download required. EA account required.
• Companion App: iOS 14+ or Android 10+. Free download from App Store and Google Play.

Both require an EA account linked to your platform profile. If you pre-ordered digitally, your edition should automatically grant access when the apps go live.
